Here's how things are progressing with Beam Saber
Unfortunately this month doesn't bear much in the way of good news.
I'm still waiting to hear from the printer that printing has begun. I'm going to reach out to them to ask about the delay.
Additionally, I've set up the Print On Demand through DriveThruRPG (not publicly available yet) and had myself sent a test copy. This is the result:

Frankly it looks like a cheap knock off of Beam Saber. I've sent an email to DTRPG's publisher relations department to discuss how the myriad issues with this can be fixed. I had heard that reds were hard in POD but this is ridiculous!

Due to the nature of using Print On Demand through DriveThruRPG there are two ways to arrange sending POD Backers a copy of Beam Saber:
1) Each POD Backer gets an "at cost" link meaning they have to pay the manufacturing cost plus shipping and fill out the shipping information.
2) I have to enter the shipping information and I pay the manufacturing and shipping costs, but that means I have to enter the shipping information for each POD Backer.
I'm going to go with option 2 because it would be unfair to have you all pay for the book, THEN pay to manufacture it and ship it.
This means that I need every POD Backer's mailing address. I'll be sending out a survey link through BackerKit in the next few days that will ask for your mailing address, and it is VERY IMPORTANT that you fill out that address immediately. The sooner I have your mailing address, the sooner I can send your information to DriveThruRPG and the sooner they can send the POD book to you.

Here's how things are progressing with Beam Saber
I contacted the printer since I hadn't heard from them in a while, and I've been told that the printing should complete in the first week of June! A bit later than expected but not by much!
Make sure that your shipping address on BackerKit is up to date. If you have lost your Backer Kit survey link you can have it resent to you here: https://beamsaber.backerkit.com/
We'll be using Indie Press Revolution to handle fulfillment once the books are printed.

Here's how things are progressing with Beam Saber
They aren't! Things continue as planned, so nothing good or bad to convey. As stated in the March 2023 update the printer has another project ahead of Beam Saber, so printing likely won't begin until May.

Here's how things are progressing with Beam Saber
Short but sweet update this month. The final proofs have been approved for printing! It took some back and forth to fine tune the PDF but it's all ready now.
The printer will be keeping me up to date with how the process is going, but during the initial contract negotiations I was told that they had another project on their presses until May. This the current schedule is printing in May and shipping in June. If that changes, I'll let you know in the next monthly update.
